Before starting to take this medication, read the Patient Information Leaflet each time you get a refill, if your pharmacist has one available. You can ask any questions you have to your doctor or pharmacist.
Hands should be cleaned before using this medication. Using a light or soapless cleanser, gently clean the afflicted area of skin and pat dry. Apply a tiny amount of medication (about the size of a pea) with your fingertips in a thin layer as prescribed by your physician; this is often done once a day at bedtime. The liquid can be applied using a cotton swab or gauze pad. You should wait 20 to 30 minutes after washing your face before using this medication for some preparations. Use this drug topically only. It is not recommended to apply on the inner lip or inside the mouth or nose. Use caution when applying to skin that has been cut or scraped, sunburned, or prone to eczema.
Don’t get this medication in your eyes. If this medication goes in your eyes, rinse them well with water. Make a call to your physician if you get eye inflammation. Wash your hands after using the medication to avoid putting it in your eyes by accident.
